LinkUp's October 2023 JOLTS Forecast

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) calculates the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) on the last business day of the month and releases their monthly job openings usually about a month later. So, on November 1st, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported 9.55 million job openings in its September JOLTS data and LinkUp had predicted 9.48 million, a month ahead of that release.

On December 5th, 2023, the BLS will release its Job Opening data for October. LinkUp’s job listings data, sourced directly from company websites in September and October, enables faster estimates of JOLTS. Our job data indicates a decline.

LinkUp’s October JOLTS forecast is 9.39 million.
