LinkUp's May 2023 JOLTS Forecast

LinkUp’s May JOLTS forecast is 9.93 million. On May 31st, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported 10.1 million job openings in its April Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS). BLS calculates JOLTS on the last business day of the month and publishes it with a lag of about one month.

On July 6th, 2023, the BLS will release its data for May. LinkUp’s job data, sourced directly from company websites in April and May, enables faster estimates of JOLTS. Our data shows a change from the increase in April (10.1 million) and a return to a decline like what we observed earlier this year.
