LinkUp Forecast: February JOLTS report by the BLS

LinkUp’s JOLTS forecast for February is 8.94 million open jobs, an uptick from the January JOLTS release. Our predicted 0.9% increase in job openings indicates a slight heating up of labor demand as the job market balances a full employment environment.

Each BLS survey report of monthly job openings and labor turnover is released a full month after-the-fact. Our job data consistently marks a strong correlation to the BLS numbers, with the significant advantage of a month’s lead time to the official release.
